Commercial Property Set To Rise

Commercial Property Set To Rise

The commercial property market in the UK has shown up to a 25% drop in value over the past 9 months. Ftsie is pleased to have purchased at the bottom of this drop in values. Even better is that predictions are for a sharp increase in commercial values.

Commercial property market set for recovery

The commercial property market is expected to recover towards the end of the year despite a drop in commercial property deals in the first quarter of 2008,

 research published this week said.

Cushman and Wakefield's study found that conditions have improved since the last quarter of 2007, leading to hopes of stabilisation from investors.

Head of European research David Hutchings said a market upturn could deliver a strong performance for investors.

"A growing number of equity investors appear ready to take advantage of this and look set to re-enter the market as soon as financing markets stabilise,

"We are still optimistic that the market will recover more rapidly than some seem to expect."

Research carried out by Swip found that 28 per cent of independent financial advisers are recommending investment in commercial property to their clients.
